The Purple X Place manifesto

The house that culture built.

Purple X Place is a Nigerian house of houses — a studio, a gallery, a stage and a street rolled into one. We are not a marketplace. We are the room where the next generation of African luxury is drafted, ratified and shipped to the world.

Pillars

The four load-bearing columns.

Four ideas the whole house rests on. Everything else is choreography.

01
Vision

A future where culture is the asset class.

02
Community

Members shape the house, not the other way around.

03
African Luxury

Heritage, craft and innovation — exported globally.

04
Technology

Software as a stage, not a storefront.

The chapters

Six ideas we refuse to compromise.

Read them like a constitution. Every drop, every set, every artwork is measured against these lines.

I.

Fashion is a manifesto

Every garment we ratify carries a proposition — of who Lagos will wear in 2035, of how Abuja tailoring speaks to Milan patterning, of what Nigerian craft can command when it refuses translation.

II.

Music is architecture

We stage sound as space. Afrobeats, alté, electronic, sacred — treated as construction, not soundtrack. Every session and every set is a room the audience walks through.

III.

Art is documentation

The gallery is the memory of a generation. We collect the pieces that will be read as evidence — of a country that decided it was rich in ideas long before it was rich in institutions.

IV.

Community is currency

The council, the members, the moderators, the makers — the house belongs to the room. Every signal, every vote, every review is a shareholder action.

V.

Technology is a stage

Software as theatre. Storefront as gallery. AI as curator. We build the technical layer of luxury so the human layer can be free to make.

VI.

Image is scripture

Nothing leaves the house untouched by a lens. The photograph, the frame, the crop — treated as gospel. Every capsule ships as a picture worth keeping.

Geography

Cut in Lagos. Read everywhere.

Our workshops, ateliers and members are rooted across Nigeria — from Lekki to Kaduna, Enugu to Uyo. The house is national by design and global by output.

If any of this reads like your religion, the door is open.

Register a brand, apply as an artist, walk on as a model, or simply join the community and vote with the room. The council reads every application.
